You are cordially invited to celebrate what God is doing among the diverse churches within the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware on Sunday, October 9 at 4 p.m.
All churches are invited to meet at First Rock Baptist Church, at 4630 Alabama Avenue, S.E. Washington, D.C. (Click here for a map of the church’s address.) Those wishing to take the Metro to the church should plan on taking the Blue Line to Benning Road. (Click here for options to travel to this station.) Please note: if you take a train, call Pastor Minter at 240-476-7650 so that he can arrange for a shuttle to pick you up.
Parking is available near the church, either on the street or across the street at the nearby elementary school.
Participants will board buses at 4 p.m. to visit the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, then depart at 5:45 p.m. to enjoy a joint worship service at 7 p.m.
This is a wonderful opportunity for churches all across the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware to gather together in unity to create a new day of spiritual unity and cultural understanding between blacks and whites through the shared Christian values of respect, trust and love.
